Why Industrial Hydraulic Brakes can be a Wise Choice in Terms of Safety

Selecting a brake for a moving vehicle or industrial application requires an evaluation on the basic parameters whether the industrial hydraulic brake or the industrial pneumatic brake is suitable for the purpose. Vehicles certainly require brakes and so with industries wherein the emphasis is placed on many variables. Selecting the right industrial hydraulic brakes can be relatively simple if not for the heavy rotating parts that have to be stopped within a specific time period. Brakes for industrial applications often require the short duration stopping cycles while brakes for mobile applications have to be handled to meet the worst case scenarios. The high cycling rates can be challenge to the limits of the brake performance.

Selection for the industrial brakes

Even though industrial applications are more predictable than mobile applications, it is by no means less demanding because the high cycling rates often challenge the limitations of the brake performance. The least demanding application of the industrial hydraulic brakes is those with relatively slow cycling rates like 5 stops per minute or less. In these industrial applications, other factors are significantly important like stopping torque and horsepower transmission. When the brake cycle occurs at 5 to 6 times per minute or more, inertia, heat sink capacity, energy per cycle and response requires closer scrutiny. Beyond the high cycling rates, stopping the heavy rotating shafts or the flywheels within a specific time period demands the highest performance from the industrial brake. Having to stop a massive rotating shaft within 0.1 second is certainly not an unusual situation in most industries.

Driveline has the best hydraulic brakes. Great service and knowledgeable staff.

When I was looking for industrial hydraulic brakes, make sure you also get the right cycling rate otherwise you might make things worse!

Industrial hydraulic brakes are among are the most common braking systems for two and four-wheel motor vehicles.
